1. Introduction
The Reports feature in redOrange.ai provides visual insights into compliance progress, audit readiness, and access management activities. It includes dashboards, charts, and filters that allow administrators and compliance managers to track organizational posture across frameworks, audits, and user access.
This guide explains each section of the Reports feature and how to interpret the available graphs and charts.
2. Permissions
Users must be Admin or have the Can Access Reports permission assigned to their role.
Without the appropriate permissions, the Reports section will not be accessible.
3. Accessing Reports
Log in to redOrange.ai.
Navigate to Reports from the side menu.
The Reports section includes three submenus:
Compliance
Audits
Access Management
4. Compliance Reports
4.1 Framework Implementation Progress (Line Chart)
Y-axis: Number of controls implemented.
X-axis: Months.
Shows how many controls were implemented month by month for each framework.
4.2 Control Implementation Status (Donut Chart)
Displays counts of Implemented vs Not Implemented controls.
4.3 Policy Status (Donut Chart)
Shows policies by status: Not Started, Pending, Approved.
4.4 Control Owners Assignment Status (Donut Chart)
Displays how many controls have been assigned to owners vs unassigned.
4.5 Compliance Status (Donut Chart)
Breaks down controls into: Compliant, Non-Compliant, Partial Compliant, Not Applicable (N/A).
4.6 Controls Owned (Bar Chart)
X-axis: Owners.
Y-axis: Number of controls.
Shows distribution of controls assigned to different owners.
4.7 Framework Controls (Bar Chart)
X-axis: Frameworks.
Y-axis: Number of controls.
Shows total controls in each framework, split between Automated and Manual controls.
4.8 Approved Controls (Bar Chart)
X-axis: Framework name.
Y-axis: Number of approved controls.
Displays approval progress across frameworks.
Filter Option: You can filter all compliance-related charts by Framework.
5. Audit Reports
5.1 Audit Implementation Progress (Line Chart)
X-axis: Months.
Y-axis: Number of audits implemented.
Tracks how many controls audits have been carried out per framework over time.
5.2 Controls Ready for Audit (Donut Chart)
Splits controls into Ready for Audit vs Not Ready for Audit.
5.3 Controls Flagged in Audit (Donut Chart)
Shows audit controls flagged, accepted, or pending.
5.4 Audit Status by Framework (Bar Chart)
X-axis: Compliance frameworks.
Y-axis: Number of audits.
Breaks down by total control audits, audited controls, and in-progress controls.
5.5 Auditor Type by Framework (Bar Chart)
X-axis: Frameworks.
Y-axis: Number of auditors.
Shows auditor distribution, distinguishing between Internal and External auditors.
Filter Option: All audit-related charts can be filtered by Framework.
6. Access Management Reports
6.1 Monthly Flagged Access Reviews by Vendor (Line Graph)
X-axis: Months.
Y-axis: Flagged access reviews.
Displays number of flagged access reviews over time, grouped by vendor type.
6.2 Access Flagged vs Total Access (Line Graph)
X-axis: Vendors.
Y-axis: Number of flagged reviews.
Shows flagged vs total access counts for each vendor (covering users, groups, and roles).
6.3 Access Review Assigned vs Total Access (Line Graph)
X-axis: Vendor names.
Y-axis: Number of reviewers.
Displays how many reviewers were assigned vs total access reviews per vendor, with percentages.
Filter Option: All Access Management reports can be filtered by Vendor Type.
7. Best Practices
Regularly review Compliance Reports to monitor control implementation progress.
Use Audit Reports before external or internal audits to confirm readiness and highlight flagged controls.
Track Access Management Reports to identify risky or unreviewed access privileges.
Apply filters to drill down into specific frameworks or vendors for detailed insights.
