The Verify Compliance section in redOrange.ai enables organizations to assess their adherence to compliance frameworks through both manual self-assessments and automated compliance checks. This guide explains how to use the Verify Compliance feature to manage and track your compliance status effectively.


2. Accessing Verify Compliance

  • Log in as an Administrator or a user with Can Access Framework permissions.

  • Navigate to Compliance > Framework > [Select Framework] > Verify Compliance.


3. Overview of Verify Compliance

Verify Compliance consists of two components:

  • Manual Assessments: User-driven evaluation of compliance controls.

  • Automated Checks: System-driven compliance verification via integrations with business applications.


4. Manual Compliance Assessments

Structure

  • Manual assessments are organized by categories based on the selected compliance framework.

  • Each category contains multiple control questions, each identified by a Control ID and accompanied by the control question text.

Answering Questions

  • Answer options include: Yes, No, Partial Compliant, and Not Applicable (N/A).

  • Save and submit your assessment answers to update compliance status.

Using Lisha AI Assistant

  • If you encounter unclear wording or questions, highlight the relevant text and click the Lisha icon.

  • Lisha will provide prompt and accurate explanations to assist your understanding.

Task Assignment Sidebar

  • Clicking on an assessment question opens a sidebar showing:

    • Control ID

    • Applicability

    • Current Status (Started, Not Started)

    • Ready for Audit (Only Owners with Approved control can check this)

    • Audit Note (A note to the Auditor who audits this respected control)

    • Description ( A brief description about the control)

    • Ability to assign Owner, Collaborators, Approver, and Assignee

    • Due Date and Criticality (Urgent, High, Medium, Low)

    • Evidence upload functionality

    • Comments section for additional notes

  • Assigned tasks appear in the user’s My Work > Compliance section for tracking.

Results

  • Control statuses (Compliant, Non-Compliant, Partial Compliant, N/A) are summarized in the Results page of the framework.


5. Automated Compliance Checks

Overview

  • Automated compliance checks run based on integrations with your business applications.

  • Checks automatically evaluate controls and return statuses: Compliant, Non-Compliant, or Control Verification Failed if an error occurs.

Details and Evidence

  • Each automated check shows the timestamp of the last run.

  • Checks are categorized per compliance framework for easy navigation.

  • For each automated check, users can view the Request and Response details to audit the verification process.

Running Automated Checks

  • Individual automated checks can be triggered manually.

  • You can also run all checks within a category by selecting Verify All at the category level, which executes all associated automated checks.

Using Lisha AI Assistant

  • Lisha is also available to clarify any unclear terminology or descriptions related to automated checks.

  • Automated Compliance Status (Compliance, Non-Compliant, Verification Failed) and automated evidence collected during checks are summarized in the Results page of the framework.

  • Regularly perform manual assessments to maintain an up-to-date view of your compliance status.

  • Assign clear owners and approvers to compliance tasks to ensure accountability.

  • Review automated check results frequently and investigate any failed or non-compliant controls promptly.

  • Utilize Lisha for quick clarifications and to minimize assessment delays.

  • Keep evidence and comments well documented for audit readiness.
